How is Invisalign Teen Different than Invisalign?

Compliance indicators
Invisalign only works when you use it correctly. In fact, consistent use is the single biggest factor in successful treatment. To keep the orthodontic process on track and achieve the best results, your teen must stick to Dr. Glass recommendations and wear their aligners for 20-22 hours every day.
Invisalign Teen includes a compliance indicator on each aligner to help keep teens accountable.
The indicator fades from blue to clear as it's used. This gives your teen, and your orthodontist a visual estimate of how much your teen is wearing the aligners.
If your teen isn’t holding up their end of the treatment bargain, Dr. Glass will be able to tell in enough time to correct the problem before it delays the treatment process.
Eruption tabs
This feature makes room for the second molars that grow in young adults. Keeping space open for unerupted teeth makes it possible to treat a wider range of conditions with Invisalign.
Replacement aligners
Who hasn’t lost or damaged something important before? Teens are no different. Even when you encourage your teen to treat their aligners with care, life happens sometimes.
Fortunately, Invisalign Teen provides up to six replacement aligners at no charge. This means you don't need to worry if an aligner is misplaced or damaged.
What are the benefits of Invisalign Teen?

It's important to have a good oral hygiene routine, especially during orthodontic treatment. We encourage all patients to brush at least twice a day and floss every night to keep teeth and gums free from food debris and bacteria.

Invisalign is an ideal choice for teens who play sports or a musical instrument. If your teen is more athletically inclined, the aligner can be removed before practice or a big game and replaced with a regular mouthguard.
