Fairhope Traditional Braces

Traditional braces stand out as one of the most effective tools for correcting and straightening smiles. Typically, these braces consist of metal or ceramic brackets attached to the teeth, linked by wires and small rubber bands or elastics. Through consistent adjustments by our orthodontist, the combination of brackets, wires, and bands exerts a steady pressure that slowly moves the teeth to their correct positions.

With a proven track record of correcting various orthodontic issues, braces are often faster at closing spaces and aligning teeth than alternative methods, potentially shortening the overall treatment duration. Moreover, traditional braces are a more budget-friendly choice since they don't rely as much on advanced technology or costly equipment that newer treatments do.

Fairhope Invisalign

Our Fairhope Invisalign treatment, unlike traditional braces, employs a series of clear, removable aligners to align the teeth gradually. These aligners are crafted from a transparent, flexible plastic material, ensuring a tight fit over the teeth. Patients typically transition to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks to continue moving the teeth towards the desired alignment, with a recommendation to wear them 20-22 hours a day.

The success of Invisalign heavily depends on patient adherence to wearing the aligners as prescribed. Failure to do so can hinder the effectiveness of the treatment and extend the time needed for orthodontic care.

Invisalign is most effective for addressing common orthodontic issues. However, it might not be suitable for more complex cases. A free consultation at Glass Orthodontics can determine if Invisalign is the right choice for you.
