Why an Orthodontist in Century? Orthodontist vs. Dentist

An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an Orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, even though not every dentist is qualified to be an orthodontist. Dr. Glass, like all orthodontists, has to continue their formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the necessary license and certification. As an orthodontist, Dr. Glass has spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.

Why does it matter if you see your Century Orthodontist?

Dentists receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treating young children who do not yet need to see an orthodontist. However, specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems.

Seeing a specialist like your Jay orthodontist may change your experience in braces by:

  • Providing more treatment options, with a variety of braces or therapies to choose from
  • Having personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concern and anatomical characteristics.
  • More efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office’s focus area of care.
  • Knowing that you’ll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite discrepancies that need to be addressed.
  • Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.

While some may think individuals may think it’s easier to have their orthodontic work completed by their dentist, but convenience shouldn’t be a problem, because you will only be stopping by your Jay orthodontic offices every six to eight weeks.

And don’t let price be a problem either! Glass Orthodontics is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Century area.

Testimonials from your Century orthodontist patients

Dr. Glass and his staff have put all three of our children in braces, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The team is extremely efficient (We’ve never waited more than five to ten minutes), upbeat, positive, knowledgeable, compassionate and great with both kids and teens! The office is a welcoming space that is always kept clean and tidy with games galore, plenty of reading material and hot coffee while you wait. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Dr. Glass and Staff!

The experience we have had with Dr. Glass and his amazing staff is an absolute joy! He and his team make the entire process something my kids look forward to. We are kept well informed of the current progress as well as any anticipated progress to expect next. They have a relaxed, fun atmosphere in the office and plenty to keep the kids busy while they wait. (My son says he doesn’t get to “wait” long enough!) I drive an hour, one way, to see Dr. Glass and would never consider going anywhere else! I only wish I could give more than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! To say I trust his opinion is an understatement. Happy patient and mom here!
