Why an Orthodontist?

An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an Orthodontist.

Not every dentist is qualified to be an orthodontist, even though every orthodontist starts as a dentist. Dr. Glenn Glass, like all orthodontists, continued their education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the necessary license and certification. Dr. Glenn Glass, like all orthodontists, have spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to perform the treatment plan that works for you.

Why does it matter if you see your Daphne Orthodontist?

Dentists receive basic orthodontic training so they can perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who don’t need to see an orthodontist yet. Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic issues.

Seeing a specialist like a Daphne orthodontist may change your braces experience by:

  • Providing more treatment options, with a variety of braces or therapies to choose from
  • Having personal experience treating multiple cases that are similar to your unique concerns and anatomical characteristics.
  • More efficient treatment and visits, because it’s the office’s main focus.
  • Knowing that you’ll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have worse than usual bite discrepancies that need to be dealt with
  • Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.

While you may think it’s easier to have your orthodontic work done by your dentist, convenience shouldn’t be a barrier to seeing a specialist.  You’ll only need to stop by your Daphne orthodontic offices every six to eight weeks.

And don’t let price be a problem either! Glass Orthodontics is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Daphne area.

Testimonials from Glass Orthodontics patients

“Everyone you interact with is knowledgeable, patient, and concerned for your comfort and extremely caring and kind with your kiddos! They thoroughly explain the process, deliver the promised results. My oldest son just had his braces removed,  and his smile is beautiful. My youngest son just had his braces put on this week and we are expecting the same great results. All of the dental technicians are well trained and explain everything step by step. We especially appreciate Dr. Glass's personal involvement with the kids at every appointment and his positive encouragement. They are very responsive when you have an emergency and special attention. We believe they have developed the perfect formula for a well run orthodontic practice. And, they actually add some fun into the equation with special incentives and fun contests for the kids. If I had 10 kids, I would take each of them to Glass Orthodontics!” - Valerie

“Both of our children are patients of Dr. Glass.  They love coming to see him (which says a lot since braces aren't always comfortable)!  Dr. Glass has a great personality and is super easy to work with. The office staff is also very welcoming and the kids also love his lobby!  We highly recommend Glass Orthodontics”. - Autumn
